Duel King Gul'dan Build

If you ever happen to queue up and not get a healer on your team, why risk going the meta build which relies on a healer to babysit you instead of you being self-reliant for once! If you ever so happen to get an actual healer, why not become an immortal monster by going this build?

Pros

1. Extremely self-sustainable (by 13)

2. Never need a healer to babysit you

3. Scary single target damage (by 7)

Cons

1. Lack of potential AoE damage without going meta build(s)

2. Need to be consistent with landing your spells to maximize them

3. Could be easily focused whenever channeling Life Drain
1
Chaotic Energy
Increases the cast range of Drain Life by 25%. Quest: The healing provided by Regen Globes is increased by 50%. Reward: After gathering 15 Regen Globes, Gul'dan's Basic Ability mana costs are permanently reduced by 20.
Once you complete the quest, you are set for life. You will do way more damage over the course of the game compared to talenting your entire build into one ability. Permanently reducing Mana costs on your most important spells allows you to keep yourself topped by not having to use Life Tap as often, indirectly making you more tough to target by opportunistic assassins like Tracer, Genji, Valeera, Nova, and Zeratul. If they EVER dive you, just press W and you will never die unless the entire team ambushes you.
4
Health Funnel
Drain Life's cooldown recharges 100% faster while it is channeling. If an enemy dies while under the effect of Drain Life, the cooldown is instantly refreshed.
If you are ever put into lane (you should be because of your Lvl 1), it's always nice to refresh your main self-sustaining ability and receiving cooldown reduction when you cancel it.
Consume Soul COULD be substituted if you desperately need on-demand burst healing if you find yourself often being ganked.
7
Curse of Exhaustion
Drain Life deals 50% more damage and slows the target's movement speed by 50% if they are afflicted by Corruption.
Curse of Exhaustion defines this build's terrifying single target damage and dueling capabilities.
10
Horrify
After a short delay, deal 263 (125 + 4% per level) damage and fear enemy Heroes in the area for 2 seconds.
Horrify, period.
If you want to troll for fun, pick Rain of Destruction.
13
Harvest Life
Drain Life heals for 75% more Health when used on Heroes.
You will never die: cooldown reduction, extra damage to those affected by Corruption poison, and slowed movement speed makes you practically immortal.
16
Rampant Hellfire
Fel Flame's damage is increased by 10% for 5 seconds when hitting an enemy Hero. This can stack up to 5 times.
Rampant Helfire is really the only choice I found to be effective compared to the other talents.
Ruinous Affliction is tough to proc its effect because you aren't taking Echoed Corruption in this build, which would cause Corruption to strike three times in the opposite direction, making it easier to trigger its effect.
Darkness Within is a pure trap. Chaotic Energy reduces the need for you to use Life Tap.
20
Demonic Circle
Summon a Demonic Circle at your location. Activate to teleport to the Demonic Circle.
Demonic Circle is my choice if you want to play ultra hyper aggressive, which you should be doing as Gul'dan when you have the opportunity to do so.
