Offlane Garrosh (inspired by Huffmoney)

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT THIS BUILD:

Garrosh is one of, if not THE weakest macro hero that can be played in the offlane. You pick this to win duels and fights, not to win on map pressure.

You will still have many of the same drafting considerations that a normal main-tank Garrosh has (low mobility, melee range being a necessity, weakness to poke/heavy mobility, etcetera).

As such, you should play this when you know you'll be able to duel/brawl/skirmish a lot, and won't feel the lack of macro pressure too much.



Credit for this build goes nearly entirely to Huffmoney, a former amateur competitor in the NA Open Division back in 2018 and years prior. I've made only slight alterations to it (lv 16 Earthshaker -> Mortal Combo and updated descriptions with some of my own commentary) in the interest of modernization.

Body Check
Activate to deal 111 damage to a target enemy and Slow them by 35% for 3 seconds. Enemy Heroes hit receive 30% reduced healing for 3 seconds.
Body Check gives dueling power, a slow to keep enemies under towers, and burst from an extra AA reset.

Thirst for Battle
Basic Attacks against Heroes reduce the cooldown of Bloodthirst by 2 seconds.
Thirst for Battle gives extra Bloodthirst casts, which is an AA reset + offers tons of in-fight sustain + has synergy with Bloodcraze (13).

Oppressor
Basic Attacks against Heroes reduce the target’s Spell Power by 40% for 2.5 seconds.
Oppressor helps win a lot of duels + nearly every hero in the game is significantly affected by losing spell power.

Decimate
Deal 50 damage to nearby enemies and Slow them by 40% for 1.5 seconds. Deals 100% more damage to Heroes, and each Hero hit reduces the cooldown by 1 second. Stores up to 3 charges.
Decimate gives lots of aoe slow + some extra damage. This increases your stickiness, which helps you get off those crucial AAs for Thirst for Battle (4) and Oppressor (7).

Bloodcraze
When hitting a Hero, Bloodthirst heals for an additional 15% of Garrosh’s maximum Health over 3 seconds.
Bloodcraze normally isn't that insane, but with Thirst for Battle, you're going to be popping it several times a fight. This is a huge self-sustain boost.

Mortal Combo
If Wrecking Ball is used on a Hero within 3 seconds of pulling them with Groundbreaker, Wrecking Ball’s cooldown is reduced by 10 seconds, regardless of order.
Huffmoney's original build recommended Earthshaker, but 1) it has since been nerfed 2) Mortal Combo has since been buffed. Mortal Combo is now simply seen as the generally strongest pick on the tier, regardless of build.

Deadly Calm
Heroes hit by Decimate deal 40% less damage for 3 seconds.
AoE damage reduction goes a long way toward helping your team take fights in those crucial late-game brawls. Take this to give your team a ton of extra survivability and a strong chance at winning the game.
