After playing some games on PTR I feel he best fits the off lane role as intended, His abilities work a lot better if he's the one following up on CC and not engaging, so I don't think he will work as a tank. Until level 7 his wave clear is really awful so until then he just needs to brawl with his solo lane match up and try to trade health since he is really good at 1v1.
Burn The Impure
Consuming a Solarion's Fire mark deals bonus damage equal to 2.5% of the Hero's maximum Health.
Wish the recent Imperius buff, Burn the Impure is the best choice by far due to the amount of damage you deal if you land all of your abilities and then auto attack for the talent to work.
Increase the healing of Valorous Brand by 50%.
Bulwark of Flame good vs heavy auto attack enemies. Unshakable faith good vs heroes with a lot of slows/roots such as Jaina. Battle Hunger overall gets good value.
Activate to cause the next 4 Basic Attacks within 10 seconds to cleave for 30% additional damage.
Holy Fervor really insane wave clear, Use his W and then Holy Fervor to match other Heroes. This talent also works well in team fights when they are stacked.
Summon a ring of blazing swords that grants 1000 Shield for 3 seconds. If the Shield lasts the full duration, this ability can be reactivated within 5 seconds to launch 6 swords toward an area, each dealing 140 damage to the first enemy hit.
Angelic Armaments 60 second CD grants you a large shield that can also be used as a weapon if it's not broken during the three second duration. Insane burst vs back line.
Consuming a Valorous Brand mark reduces the cooldown of Molten Armor by 1 second.
Divine Rage gives you a lot of CD back for his E which is your main source of both damage and healing. Just hit one hero with this and you get insane value.
Consuming a Molten Armor mark reduces the target's Armor by 25 for 4 seconds.
Melting Touch is really strong if you're not getting burst down usually by mages. Use Sovereign Armor if they have strong burst such as Li-ming, Jaina, KT.
Activate to become Unstoppable and gain 75 Spell Armor for 3 seconds. Hitting Heroes with the center of Solarion's Fire reduces this cooldown by 5 seconds.
Having a self cleanse is really handy while also gaining 75 spell armor. CD gets reduced for hitting heroes with his W so it makes the CD shorter. Valorous pursuit isn't a bad option either for chasing slippery heroes that are marked from you, also gaining 25 armor isn't bad in a team fight while also being able to juke a spell potentially.
